Nearly one billion people entering the 21st century were unable to read, 25,000 children die each day due to poverty, a plastic rubbish pile the size of the United States is floating in the ocean and 140 billion animals will be slaughtered before the year is up. All of this happens behind the scenes of our comfortable and highly enjoyable lifestyles....until now!

My dearest loves, this semester I will devote each week of my life to sacrifice a different privilege we all take for granted or an action that is leading to our environmental demise to share with you ways in which our luxurious lifestyle is infringing on those close to home, on the other side of the world or those in the near future.

I would love to hear any ideas you have on what challenges I could take and what issues you feel passionately about and will be featuring these sacrifices and observations each week in Imprint.
